26 July 2023

Elbow Beach Capital is pleased to announce that The Elbow Beach Foundation is supporting three new charities, Energy Sparks, Beefy’s Charity Foundation, set up by former England Cricket Captain Ian Botham, and Coeliac UK.

Energy Sparks is an online energy analysis tool and energy education programme designed to help schools reduce their carbon emissions through the analysis of smart meter data. Energy Sparks aims to educate young people about the impact of climate change and help them make a real contribution to addressing the climate emergency. The EBF donated £22.5k to Energy Sparks.

The EBF has also donated to a charity set up by Member of the House of Lords and former cricketer, Ian Botham (nicknamed Beefy). Beefy’s Charity Foundation host events to help fund projects tackling chronic illnesses and other challenges that young people face. Selected charities include Blood Cancer UK, Batten Disease Family Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity. The EBF donated £2.5K and supported the Beefy Foundation in recognition of the fantastic effort of a team led by Vikki Nunn which completed the UK Challenge ’23 Event.

The Foundation has also supported Coeliac UK, a charity providing support and guidance for individuals living with coeliac disease with a £10k donation.
